The date of return of TOTW to FIFA 20 has been officially confirmed!
Team of the Week (TOTW) is one of those in-game events that players look forward to, with the best players from around the world being selected based on their performances. However, with the lack of matches due to the global situation, EA decided to pause for a few weeks.
That wasn’t too bad, either, as Team of the Season So Far (TOTSSF) sets were still regularly revealed, and somehow filled that void. Even in the FUT Champs, the rewards were moved to the TOTSSF to reflect the elimination of the TOTW. And now, we know when it will return.
TOTW returns
On June 20, EA SPORTS tweeted confirmation of their return using the EA FIFA Direct Communication account.
They commented, “With many of the best soccer leagues still accelerating toward the restart, our current plan is for Team of the Week to return on June 24,” while also confirming that the Wwekend League awards for the June 12-14 will be the same as the previous week. So there are no changes.
The TOTW had previously been organized with the “Moments”, celebrating different moments of each player of yesteryear, although it seems that the traditional event will return as it was before. Of course, many will be delighted to know that the promotion is coming back, as they will be with the return of football. One more step to get things back to normal, and welcome.
There is also a rumor that this was to be announced ahead of time, but due to problems with protests that have erupted in the United States, this news has been delayed.

Having said that, let’s hope that this new season is very good and fills us with surprises, new cards and more powerful players and, of course, the official announcement of FIFA 21.
Which could surely be announced these days. Maybe not on the PlayStation livestream, where they will announce the new PS5 games or maybe we do … we don’t know, but we’ll be on the lookout.
